The Manna Test Pt 1

Posted on 23/06/2020

From our youth, we are told to be respectful and obedient. We are told to call our older people "Uncle" and "Aunt", treat our parents with respect, and have manners at the table. We are told what is right and what is wrong, we are taught how to act according to moral standards and think in accordance with traditional worldviews.

No matter what part of the world we are in, tradition is steeped in our culture, our genes, and our youthful upbringing but is tradition, in general, all that good and sound? The short answer, no. Especially not church tradition that clashes and contradicts and even breaks the Word of God.

In this mini-series within the series, I will be looking at obedience to Scripture in the backdrop of the Manna Test that Israel had to go through in the Wilderness of Sinai right after their Exodus from Egypt. God was working with a providential plan to get Israel out of sin but also the sin out of Israel.

We are today's Israel. God has expiated sin for us.

Will we let Him expiate sin from our hearts through obedience to the Word? Or will we cling obstinately to our past sins like Israel of old?

Make the change today while you still have breath!
